Brooke Shields

Brooke became a household name portraying a pre-teen prostitute in the controversial feature Pretty Baby. She enjoyed enormous success and critical acclaim throughout her adolescence in the films Blue Lagoon, Endless Love, and King of the Gypsies. She continued her education at Princeton University where she graduated with honors in French Literature. It was there that she discovered her love for live theatre. She has starred on the stage to critical acclaim in numerous pieces including Love Letters, The Vagina Monologues and Grease. It was her performance as "Rizzo" that garnered her the Theatre Award for Best New Talent on Broadway. Brooke was last seen on Broadway with rave reviews as Sally Bowles in the revival of the hit musical Cabaret. She also starred off-Broadway in the Bob Balaban (Gosford Park, Best in Show) directed drama "Exonerated." She went on to star in critically acclaimed independent features including James Toback's Black and White with Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr., The Weekend opposite Gena Rowlands, The Misadventures of Margaret opposite Parker Posey and Jeremy Northam, The Bachelor opposite Chris O'Donnell and Freeway with Keifer Sutherland and Reese Witherspoon. Her segue into situational comedy television as both a producer and an actress was equally successful. Brooke was nominated for an American Comedy Award for her guest appearance on the hit show Friends and she starred in the People's Choice Award winning comedy Suddenly Susan. Brooke recently finished her starring run in the Tony Award winning Broadway musical, Wonderful Town in which she has been receiving excellent reviews in the role of 'Ruth Sherwood.' On the big screen she will next be seen in, Bob the Butler with comedian Tom Green.
