    En español hay muchos verbos que terminan en -iar y -uar que toman el acento en la i o en la u, no formando diptongo con la vocal fuerte de la terminación, en el presente del indicativo y en el subjuntivo, mientras en italiano forman diptongo.
    In spagnolo ci sono molti verbi che terminano (tèrminano) in -iar e -uar que prendono (prèndono) l'accento sulla i o sulla u, non formando dittongo con la vocale forte della desinenza, nel presente indicativo e nel congiuntivo, mentre in italiano formano (fórmano) dittongo.

    Actuar -actúo; attuare - attuo (àttuo); ampliar - amplío; ampliare -amplio (àmplio); continuar -continúo; continuare - continuo (contìnuo); habituar - habitúo; abituare - abituo (abìtuo); insinuar - insinúo; insinuare - insinuo (insìnuo); situar - sitúo; situare - situo (sìtuo)
