  • Nena's Green Beans

    • 2 lb. green beans
    • 1 & 1/2 cup of Italian bread crumbs
    • 10-12 cloves of garlic crushed
    • 3/4 cup parmesan cheese
    • 1/2 cup oil
    • Pepper as needed
    • Salt as needed
    Clean and steam green beans until partially cooked. Drain and add to a large bowl and toss with the olive oil, garlic, bread crumbs and parmesan cheese until well coated. Place in a casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees covered for 30 minutes. Then uncover and cook for an additional 15 minutes. This was a side dish served at almost every meal at my Mother's table. Makes 6 servings.
