Recipe contributed by my wife Judy Perin |
Ingredients |
- 3 cups flour
- 3 eggs
- 3 tsps. baking powder
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tsps. lemon extract
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
|
Preparation |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream the butter. Add eggs, sugar and lemon extracts and mix well. In a seperate bowl combine flour and baking powder together. Add flour mixture to the butter mixture, adding a small amount of milk if the batter is to thick or dry. Mix batter until formed into a dough.
Shape pieces of dough into a cigar shape, about 4 or 5 inches and then loop the dough into a knot shape. Place knot shaped dough onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Frost with icing made of powdered sugar, milk and a dash of lemon extract. |
