Orecchiette e Broccoli |

Ingredients |
- 80-100 grams (2.8-3.5 ounces) of orecchiette
- 1/2 kilograms (1.1 pounds) of broccoli
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Sardines (optional)
- Garlic cloves

Preparation |
Put broccoli in a pot of water and let it cook. When the broccoli is half cooked pour the orecchiette into the pot and let them cook together. In a separate pot pour some extra virgin olive oil, garlic cloves (as much as you like) and sardines. The sardines are optional, so if you do not like them you do not need to add them. Let these three ingredients fry for a few minutes. When the orecchiette and broccoli are almost done remove them from the water and let it drain. Once it is drained you are going to add it to the garlic and sardine mixture and let it fry for an additional minute or two. If you like you can toss in some bread crumbs and/or sherry tomatoes. Serves 4 people. |
