  • Pasta With Red Sauce
    Recipe in memory of my Grandmother Antonia Zottola
    • 1/4 cup oil
    • 1 small onion
    • 2 cloves garlic
    • 1 lb. ground pork
    • 1 green or red pepper
    • 2 qt. tomato sauce
    • 7 oz. can tomato paste
    • 7 oz. can puree
    • 1 tsp. basil (dried)
    • 1 lb. pasta
    Brown ground pork in oil with garlic, onion and pepp er. Salt to taste. Mix in tomato sauce, paste and puree. Add basil and mix all the ingredients. Cook slowly for about 3 hours stirring occasionally. When sauce is nearing completion begin to cook the 1 lb of pasta. Combine pasta with the red sauce and sprinkle with grated cheese.
