  • Tagliatelle Lardo e Basilico

    • 500 grams (1 pound + 1.64 ounces) of tagliatelle
    • 200 grams (7.05 ounces) lard but you can also use smoked bacon
    • 20 basil medium size leaves
    • Pepper or peperoncino (chili peppers) to taste
    • Salt to taste
    Prepare a pot to boil water. Let the water boil and start cooking the 500 grams of tagliatelle. Add salt to taste. Beside prepare 200 grams of lard or smoked bacon. Chop the lard tiny with the basil. Put altogether into a pan and let cook smoothly. Once it is cooked, pour the pasta into the pan and let it cook all together, for 1 or 2 minutes. Add pepper or peperoncino to taste. Serves 4 people.
